RV Solar Installer

At Quality RV Solar, LLC we specialize in the design and installation of professional solar installations for travel trailer, fifth wheel, motorhome, truck camper, marine and many other off-grid applications.  We install a wide variety of solar components, inverters, battery monitors, batteries, custom battery boxes, power accessories (power ports, lighting, etc.), WiFi extenders, cellular modems and boosters, auxiliary air compressors, whole RV controllers and multiplexing systems (i.e. SilverLeaf and iN-Command), 6-stage water filtration with reverse osmosis (permeate pump and boost pump as-required) along with other filter-based and UV water filtration systems, electric tongue and stabilizer jacks, backup cameras and weather stations.  When it comes to solar for your RV, we understand the importance of solar power and the freedom it brings when camping off the grid because we are outdoor enthusiasts ourselves.  Regardless of whether our customers are avid RV enthusiasts or are just getting started with RV life, we help them to determine what they need to support the lifestyle they lead to ensure their off-grid experience is fun and enjoyable year-round.

Job Description:

The solar installer is responsible for understanding the design and integration of the entire suite of components that we offer to our customers.  This includes, but is not limited to, solar panels & charge controllers, inverters, battery monitors, batteries, battery boxes, power accessories, WiFi extenders, cellular modems & boosters, and more.  You will be working with our sales team on a regular basis and will be responsible for leading our solar installation team with solar panel installation, layout and roof measurements, wiring and routing, component installation, programming and testing of the system and any additional tasks required to complete a successful RV solar installation. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Understand how all components of an RV solar power system work together and have the ability to assemble, program and test the system in its entirety

·         Understand the basic of AC/DC circuits and how they apply to RV solar power systems

·         Structurally mount solar panels and electrical equipment

·         Maintain inventory of all components and equipment for each solar installation

·         Maintain a clean work area during each installation

·         Maintain tools used for installation and ensure they are in proper working condition

·         Must be willing and able to climb ladders and work on RV rooftops

·         Must be willing and able to work in tight spaces with limited access

·         Build and maintain a positive attitude and rapport among the team and with customers

·         Demonstrate strong communication skills to be able to effectively explain system functions both in person and over the phone

·         Demonstrate troubleshooting skills and be able to effectively explain the issue(s) and solution(s) both in person and over the phone

·         Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time

 

Qualifications:

·         Previous solar installation experience preferred

·         Previous AC/DC electrical experience preferred

·         Passionate about solar power and a strong willingness to learn about all the facets of RV solar power systems

·         Ability to climb and work from a ladder

·         Ability to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks

·         Ability to lift up to 60 pounds of weight throughout the week

·         Strong attention to detail

·         A good driving record

·         Ability to drive to a customer’s home, business or visit them during their stay at a local RV park as-required if support is required

·         Strong documentation skills

·         Professional appearance and customer interaction
