2018 Airstream 23CB
For this 2018 Airstream 23CB travel trailer, we installed a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100|30 (30A) Charge Controller, three of the ZS90 (90w) Zamp Long Solar Panels (w/ doubled up mounting feet) and a Victron BMV-712 Battery Monitor. We covered all exposed wiring with split loom tubing and sealed all roof penetrations using Sikaflex adhesive/sealant and Dicor self-leveling sealant. To compliment the new solar, we installed a Victron Multiplus 12/3000/120-50 120V VE.Bus Inverter/Charger, Victron Color Screen control kit, Progressive Industries EMS (Electrical Management System) and a new 30A main panel. We installed the Victron Cyrix-ct-li combiner/separator on the trailer charge and portable Zamp solar connection circuit and connected into AMS module to allow charging from the additional power sources. We also installed a MicroAir Easy Start soft starter within Air Conditioner to ease the starts on a smaller inverter-type generator when used.
To power the coach when boondocking, we installed the Victron V4.2 Lithium Base Kit w/ two 200Ah Lithium Expansion kits (total battery storage 400ah) and installed an EFOY Comfort 210 Fuel Cell w/ remote. We oriented the fuel cell equipment in such a way allowing easy access for swapping out the fuel tank when it runs low. The OE sofa and cabinetry was modified to accommodate the new equipment installation.
